What an opportunity to really put a dint in the hopes of one of the main title contenders on Saturday. A win will see us on 12pts from 4 and Oldham on 3pts from 4, which will be 9pts behind us after just 4 games of the new season. There has never been a better opportunity to really turn the screw early, and put the pressure on, who many were considering being our main rivals this season. C'mon boys, lets do it.

I hear what your saying mate and would love to play them off the pitch and win handsomely but we tore Wrexham a new one at a similar stage last season, it’s far too early to be concerned about any points gap etc!

They're already holed below the waterline by being pumped by the basketcase Southend and losing to Halifax on Tuesday, they won't be title contenders whilstever Unsworth is there who their fans already want removing. (They probably want Sheridan back for a millionth time)

Agree, maybe so. But psychologically it would be a good early blow to their confidence.

Get your point mate but it's a marathon and we need to ensure we don't go on runs like last season where we didn't win in 9 games

My Oldham contact ( anyone remember Pie Eaters Corner in Tora Tora Tora) advises that Oldham fans are on the point of mutiny - a defeat on Sat would lead to open warfare !

A scrappy 1-0 will do. For as long as that clown unsworth is in charge they won’t be a threat. As much as I’d like to pump them 4-0 we could do with him not getting sacked just yet

Toughest test so far

A convincing win will certainly set out the clubs stall.
A new hope.

I can't see us keeping a clean sheet, so a calm inducing 3-1 will be fine.

Like I said elsewhere, I'm more worried about Halifax than Oldham.

But, yes, three points would be great. Roll on Saturday.

My thoughts too.

And consider this; all those we've played so far were underdogs with nothing to lose, but Oldham are expected to challenge.

Meanwhile we're still to perform anywhere near our best.

Memories of the (also televised) Millers in 2011, perhaps..?

I’m not worried about Oldham in the slightest, but why Halifax?

Oh what a night that was. Probably my fav night game at the new ground. The atmosphere was electric throughout

Not sure if it is from the initial allocation or the full 1,750 seats but at present there are still around 450 tickets available on their Ticket site.

Hopefully looking at a 9,000 Gate

I have a gut feeling Halifax will have a good season.

Oldham don’t currently have a midfield so we should dominate the game.

They'll probably make a signing in that area, not announce it 'til the last minute (like we'd do) who will either play a blinder or be a complete flop, defining Usworths season in the eyes of their fans.
