The London Spireites whatsapp group is full of pictures like this.

It's like everyone had a bottle in just in case.

Wasn’t sure what message to post in what thread but this seems apt. My dad took me to see town in 1988 as a 10 year old after we moved here from Manchester after leaving home in wales. I fell in love straight away with the team in blue despite losing to wolves 3-0 in that game. We have watched together for 30 odd years since. Today, my old man came with me again knowing that this was his penultimate game at home before moving back home to wales. What a cracking day. Well done town, and goodbye to non league football.

Just got back to Manchester after one of best days in my life!

Top performance today. Dobra was outstanding!!

Thank goodness we’re out of this terrible league.

Took my five-year-old to her first game and she loved it. Difficult to explain that going onto the pitch at the end and trophy ceremonies are not the norm, but I think she’ll be back for more in future. She keeps singing “We Are the Champions” which she didn’t know before today.

Great day great atmosphere great celebrations, good riddance to the national league and well done paul cook the team , staff and the kirks for getting us out of it.A chapter in our history hopefully closed for a long long time.
