In danger of becoming an anti-climax, has/is the points lead, and recent dip in form sorta spoiling things a bit, taking the edge a bit of the celebrations, as in more of a thankfully got over the line instead of blasting thru it ?

Absolutely not. The aim for the season was to win the league, we’re going to do it. How or when will become irrelevant long before next season starts

Nope not in the slightest and when we seal things on Saturday no one will give a toss about what happened last night.

Don't worry. The lads will be up for it and will run through brick walls to win Satdi. Then great celebrations champagne corks popping all over and photo's with your fave player.

If we lose badly I fear it will turn ugly.

Not really - we're going up, couldn't really give a F how we do it.

Some of our fans are embarassing. Genuine thought - if you aren't happy with being 21 points clear, you probably never will be so why don't you just jack it in and go do something else? Especially if you are a Kop ST holder so a few of my mates can take you seats

If someone had said to you in July that you would be 21 points clear with 6 games to go would you have been upset or would you have told him to go away

I've just had to come back to the this thread to double take a couple of the posts on here.

Turns out it wasnt a figment of my imagination, people have actually openly said it, on a public forum. Incredible

I'm perfectly happy with a 21 point lead, I was asking a question hence the question mark.

And sorry I sit in the West Stand with my blanket, flask and prawn sandwiches

It's starting to take the shine of things tbh

I think we've been lucky enough to have the fire power up top to get back into games when our defensive frailties rear it head - eg Hartlepool at home. It's kinda papering over the cracks
Being spanked by Dorking was an eye opener. Last night even more so.
Other games have been incredibly tight but we've managed to grind out the win.
Now more and more folk have highlighted the back 4 / CBs.
All I can say is its a good job we have points in the bank and that Cook realises where the problems are.
Couple of signings in tbe correct areas and we will be good for next season

I said earlier in the week to someone that while i'd much prefer to win it either last night or Saturday in front of our own fans then it will be very fitting....but if someone had told me back at the start of the season we would win it by Barnet failing to beat Eastleigh at home on a Tuesday night then we'd all have taken it very happily with open arms!

Its just a bit of a strange situation that we know we've done it for a while and its got people a bit giddy about how its finally secured picking when we want it to happen.

in cooks post match interview he talks about how their is so much negativity around football these days especially considering social media... i think he might be onto something here.

This isn't luck though? It's part of our game plan. Overpower the opposition through our attacking talent. It's worked the majority of the time, it's backfired very few times. Cook has signed many talented players for our attacking midfield 3, it's nothing to do with luck.

Yep sadly, as we see quite close to home, things like social media and messageboards give open house to folk to rant on and make out they know what they are on about. To be fair its the same for society in general...lots of folk are far quicker to jump on things negatively when less inclined to be positive as they see it as thats how it should be.

Yes I know, that's why I made the comment in post No.6. We will win Satdi and all will be good.

The fact this needs saying is bewildering to me. Yeah when it doesn’t work and our players aren’t properly on it , our defenders are put under pressure (sometimes we put ourselves in the shíte) , it looks horrible , let’s be honest dorking , Bromley and last night weren’t pretty but they’ve been few and far between. Us scoring late winners , coming back from behind or winning tight games has nothing to do with luck. We’ve just got really talented and fit attacking players.

Our fanbase is weird.
