I've plumped for the East Stand in the end after going up to Saltergate tonight.

Row O Seat 84.

That's what I would have guessed for you...

I am West Stand M57.

There are detailed seat plans on the webcam site now.

It would have been in everybody's best interest to let Fishini choose first and mark the spot with an X on the plan.

Yep.

Overhearing his place in the South Stand helped me decide to sit elsewhere.

Was the sun in your eyes a consideration with the East Stand?

If I was getting an ST I'd probably plump for the South Stand.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Never crossed my mind, no.

Surely it depends time of day/year etc?

In the Co-op stand (side nearest Tesco) on row L. Think it's seat 110 - can't remember exactly! - it's on the half way line ish.
Don't worry what people think, they don't do it very often.

I was at the club today and asked how many season tickets have been sold so far - they hadn't got exact figures but said it was over 1600. Not bad as they aren't on general sale yet and it's only mid April. I wouldn't be surprised if we hit 4k this year as I know quite a few lapsed supporters who are talking about getting STs for the new ground.

Anyone that's got seats J85 to J112 & K85 to K112 in the HTM stand must be feeling pretty happy with themselves as the seats were originally included in the VP area!

In terms of height above pitch level, how would row M at the B2NET compare with the rows in the existing main stand?

I don't know. The existing stand has a seat rise of 1'3" with the first seat being just under 12' from pitch level. So just guessing I would say perhaps row four.

I thought about this on Saturday, so took a special interest in looking across at the family stand at Saltergate. Was a sunny day, but the cover over the stand ensured that all were well in the shade & do not appear to have the sun in their eyes.

I would think that it will be similar at the new place, with only those right at the front having any issues with the sun?

I suspect tho that quite a few will want to change their seats after the first season. It's ok picking off a plan & you can pretty well guess approximately where you want to sit, but it's only by sitting there for a few matches n looking round that you can be sure where you want to be.

The cover over the stands at the new place compared to the main stand at Saltergate is completely different.

The shape of the roof at the new place appears to lift the front edge of it well clear of the back row, whereas the stand roof at the old place is probably on more of a line with the back row. The East Stand centre offers a West Stand centre view at a lower price, but a hat of some description is going to be a "must take just in case" for most of the year, I'd say. There are probably also going to be occasions when people on the home end need a raincoat!
