These girls have grown up very quickly and have gained alot through this experience which has given one or two of them a high media profile. Which in turn will help the womens game as a whole with the injection of some much needed cash and maybe we can be a force in the future.
Over the years I've seen some really talented young players' 8,9,10 year olds move away from the ladies game because people who could help the game say Quote ' there is no future in the ladies game' and given no encouragement to these potential stars to play football. But maybe this tournaments success may change one or two chauvanistic minds and help all the girls who play football to fullfill their potential and help the girls catch up with the Germany's and Sweden's of the future.
A fully pro ladies league in England or Britain would be a giant step forward, as was said previously in this thread.
