That made me smile! Looking after his fellow Spireites.
A note with that kind of statement just summed up the type of bloke he was. Brilliant

It's at times of reflection like this looking through the wonderful tributes on here when it's too late that you actually open your eyes and see the measure of the man.He was always ready for a bit of crack about old times and update on any scandal.
I would gladly contribute to some sort of fitting way of remembrance for Bones.

Like so many I never knew Steve's name but he was one of the faces you'd always see in the pub, or at the game, or just around Town.
A truly likeable bloke.
There may be only one more empty seat on Saturday, but clearly there'll be a huge gap left in people's lives.

Knew him from being a young lad, used to watch him when he played CH for Brim Boys back in the 90s (my sisters then boyf also played for them), never the fastest but would stick his head on anything and wasn't scared to kick the opposition striker, if he looked like he might case him a few problems lol
Converted man City fan IIRC, too
Also, regular customer when I sold 50/50 on the Esast Stand, used to make me laugh when he used to get his money out, which was always a battered clear bank change bag. used to spend ages chatting to him on my door step on a friday evening when he'd collect his window cleaning round money. He'd be out in all sorts of weather walking the streets of Hollingwood and Brim collecting, and when i asked him why he didn't leave it a few days he'd say he wanted a few pints before the game saturday lunchtime.
A genuine and likeable guy you could ever wish to meet.

Hi 70's Vivo, the information is as follows:-
We have been asked to let as many friends as possible of Steven 'Bones' Wilson know the details of his funeral.
It will be held at Brimington Methodist Church, Hall Road, Brimington at 2.15pm on Friday 9th February 2018 and everyone is welcome.
The family only will then go to the crematorium but following this they will be at the Proact Stadium from around 3.30pm to 5.30pm where again everyone is welcome to attend.
We are sue that many of you will want to take this opportunity to say a fond farewell to Steven/Bones who was loved and liked by so many people.
RIP Bones, you will be greatly missed on our away travels but we are sure that you will be with us in spirit. God bless xx
