Left by mutual consent

Presumably, the FA Cup has funded his pay off

Good Luck to him

It would be lovely to think that this finally breaks the cycle of having to pay off players and coaching staff mid season.

Will remember him just for that goal against Barnet when he never gave up the lost cause.
Good luck to him in whatever his endeavors will be. I can't think of anybody else now that could be classed as deadwood so onwards & upwards.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

A rather unglorified and sad end to what was initially an explosive and lethal striker. Such a shame really but I hope he gets sorted. Would have bene a major part in this set up but was , sadly, a shadow of his former self.
Good luck.

Only fond memories, shame about the injuries and I can only wish him the best.

Shame how it’s ended. Weird to think barely a year ago he’d played himself off the transfer list and thumped home to put us 2 up at Notts County. They do say a year is a long time in football!

I'm not sure that your conclusion that he could never regain his former status can be drawn from the evidence we've been given. He got back into Cook's plans then underwent small scale surgery. Are you saying he simply could not recover from that even though we were told that the source of his niggling injury had been discovered?

Shame as you say. Never the same after his injury. Always looked tentative and a little lethargic after. His body language never looked good either.

A nearly man, sadly.

Fully expect to see him turn up at either Dorking, Maidenhead or Ebbsfleet. Shame money had to be spent to pay him off.

Wish him all the best in his new haircutting venture 🤣

My only disappointment was his apparent refusal to go on loan to Kiddy in September

Had he done so just maybe maybe he’d be still in Cooks plans

Akwasi came to us at a time when we seriously needed a lift and results to get us out of relegation threatening troubles we were in. He did extremely well after his arrival there's no doubting that and he was exciting to watch.

Unfortunately, injuries caught up with him and, without knowing any other, his latest operation has not proven as succesful as it was hoped for.

Whatever the future holds for him I wish him well.

Good luck to him, wherever he goes to next.

Wouldn't surprise me if his next port of call is Macclesfield.

Akwasi, thanks for your time with us, just a shame that injuries curtailed your career here. Nevertheless, you have given us many happy memories and l along with many others wish you well whatever your next venture is in football.

I hope he gets a contract somewhere, but not in our league hopefully. He's a very good striker for the national League, and I'm sorry, for him and us, that it hasn't worked out. Good luck and thanks for the memories Akwasi.

Will always remember the scenes when he tapped in at Stamford Bridge.
He was pivotal to the positive progress this club has made over the past 3 years…..injuries & demands caught up with him.
He was quality when he joined, but not the quality Cook has introduced since he arrived under JR

Good luck for the future

I dare bet Phil Tooley is gutted Akwasi has left. It will mean Phil will have to buy his own fruit pastilles now ;) .
Seriously though I wish Akwasi all the best in life and I hope he goes on to find something that makes him really happy.
Thanks for all of your efforts Akwasi they have been very much appreciated and thanks for some great memories.

Felt for AA because he became square peg, playing attacking midfield or on the wing. Whilst he never quite looked the same after his injury, he wouldn't being played out of position. If I was managing a Dorking or an Ebbsfleet I'd definitely take a punt because his goal record is impressive but there wasnt a cat in hell's chance he'd trouble our first XI. Shame it ended how it did here but end it needed to. All the best to him.
