Play off final is 4th May....is it an early finish due to that as its the only date they could have Wembley?

Would appear correct. The eliminators starts just a few days after the final day of the season
Play-Off Eliminator A (5th v 6th) – Tuesday 23 April 2024
• Play-Eliminator B (4th v 7th) – Wednesday 24 April 2024
• Play-Off Semi-Finals – Sunday 28 April 2024
• National League Promotion Final – Saturday 4 May 2024
• National League North/South Promotion Finals – Sunday 5 May 2024

Looking at the events on a Wembley its quite busy :-
12th May - Womens FA Cup Final
18th May - League One Play Off Final
18th May - League Two Play Off Final
25th May - FA Cup Final
26th May - Championship Play Off Final
1st June - Champions League Final

Don’t forget the much loved FA Trophy Final on the 11th

I’m afraid if the availability of Wembley is the factor (not convinced) perhaps it is time to consider moving the final away from it on a more regular basis. Perhaps some decent Premiership grounds would available once their season is over.

At least it won’t be our concern next year

This is too sensible. Glad we won’t have to worry about it ever again!!

Totally agree, last year was two of the best supported clubs in the league and we didn’t even half fill it. Imagine how empty it will be this year.
I get the argument it’s a chance to play at Wembley, but I’d rather be at Villa Park something with a fuller ground

Issue is getting a prem team ground to let you use the ground. Most rip up the pitches as soon as the season ends.

Even more of an issue when there's a full premier league fixture list on the same day.

Yes there is this season but if they didnt use Wembley they could finish the season a bit later and time the play off final to be after the end of the Prem season.

When we are back in the EFL couldn't they use the SMH Stadium for this event? Most teams that appear here appear to treat as their cup final anyway.

Here is how it’s going to work. Next two games we will get 1 or 2 points and then we will beat Boreham Wood at home to seal the title.

I like that.

It’s unfortunate we now have two scenarios on Saturday and then Tuesday with Barnets rearranged game where we can win the title without being on the pitch.

Perfect scenario would be beat Oldham, Barnet win too. 94 points, Barnet can still get 95.

Barnet win on Tuesday, can still get 95, we draw at Halifax so have 95 points. Or game off do still on 94.

We then royally beat Boreham Wood and exit this godforsaken league in the best possible manner. In front of the cameras, full home stadium and pumping one of the biggest $h!thouse clubs in the NL.

I want us to beat Oldham, but also want to see us clinch the title at home, during a game.

So if that means wanting Barnet to win Saturday and Tuesday and either drawing at Halifax or even the game being postponed then so be it.

Finally clinching the title whilst were not even playing would be a bit of a damp squib!
