For me, they have taken VAR way to far that it's become a monster.
IMO, it should be used sparingly - a bit like the tennis one - where it determines a ball over the line ( goal line/ touchline) as then a ball would legally a dead ball and play stops for throw in/corner/goal awarded.
Also fouls around the box line to determine in or out of box to award free kick or peno.
Anything else I believe should be down to the referee and assistants to make a judgement call.
If they carry on like they are doing with VAR (and I said this years ago) they will do away with referees and assistants and it will be all monitored by some person in an jumped up CCTV control room with a stop start buzzer.
And all talking points which we as fans talk about will be gone because it will be controlled by some robot in a booth a 100 miles away

My comment to people asking for VAR when it was introduced was ‘be careful what you wish for’. Personally I’ve always felt that the flaws of the referee was part and parcel of the game.
Well, the Prem sides have now got an all singing and dancing tech-enabled, sanitised, TV-led game high creates as many problems as it solves. To which my response of ‘well, you asked for it’.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
