Weston
Miller
Khan

Loach
Williams-Gunning-Grimes
King-----------------------------------------Miller
Oyeleke-Khan
Clarke
Asante-Tshimanga
Subs: Minter, Carline, Whittle, Weston, Rowe
Grimes over Maguire due to Tozer's long throw. Weston unlucky to miss out. Would like to have a place for Mandeville on the bench but wouldn't want to see the same mistake made twice in consecutive seasons and have no sub keeper on the bench.

good side.
to follow the OP idea, with everyone fully fit try doing your worst line up from what we have, whatever you put together it's still a very very good side which is total credit to JR for assembling a squad who are all capable.

You might see your team before Christmas as I think Asante and Clarke return to full training on Monday.
I think I'd have Whittle in instead of Miller.

JR never leaves a fully fit Weston out.
Nitpicking here, but if Oyeleke has a weakness it's not going with runners, so him being in a 1 man defensive midfield would worry me.

Indeed, but it's Goku's team, not Rowe's. There's definitely a strong argument to be made for Weston starting and he would provide defensive help as you say but I can't leave Clarke, Khan or Asante out of my team when they're all fit. It's a nice dilemma, our strength in depth is quite frankly outrageous and we will win the league because of it.

exactly and arguments could be made for so many variations of line ups/bench possibilities, i even looked at the option of Dents on the bench for in the unlikely scenario that asante and tschimanga both had an off day and we needed a plan B.

Yeah, we win this league at a canter with those players back after Xmas. Wouldn't be shocked to see it strengthened either.

I wouldn't even fantasise about Wrexham getting to the play-offs, either.
I fantasise about winning the league and then moving on to L2 whilst keeping the basis of our squad together.

I was shocked to see Kerr replaced as I didn't think players better than him to the extent that he might be unsettled were around at NL level. Shows what I know as, having seen Williams, he's simply a better player.
There surely can't be many more out there though though that warrant such ruthlessness?

Big step up to L1.
I think it's not unkind to say that until the arrival of Williams there's a lack of real pace at the back, and that is big at L1 level. Nowt to worry about for at least 2 years though.

I just couldn't see us spending money on a player to not start him. Also, Kerr needed a rest as he looked vulnerable against Southend.

Horses for courses. Whittle has been excellent, but much more defensive tham Miller, whose defending is a bit iffy, to say the least.
Train Whittle to see where a quick and accurate cross would pay didvidends, and I'd agree with you. At the moment he tends to turn round and come back if in doubt.
Or train Miller to defend and keep calm under provocation would be another option.
