I think you give him too much credit.

Asante being sidelined is very bad news obviously, I’d be shocked if we get promoted now. Time for the other three to step up to the plate.

9pm on a Sunday? AC wasn't watching AC-12?

I doubt he could follow it, funnily enough that's how he signs off his messages, initials and age

Incidentally the mistake in the initial reporting of the nature of the interview led to the exposure of a typical pathetic lie from Carson.

Here after enjoying news of our defeat and finding out about the injury to Asante beleiving it was his achillies, he messaged me out of the blue (first time in months) yesterday afternoon to say the former physio had complained whilst at the club that they were doing too much sprinting in training whilst also suggesting Assante had got a weak achillies and therefore it was madness to give him an extended contract.

The only positive out of the news was it being confirmed that this was hogwash as the injury was to his knee.

Clearly our relative success is hurting him really badly.

He really is a despicable lump of plop
A new hope.

Akwasi has never had any issues with his knees in his career. The injury can be caused by a slight twist of the knee. He heard it pop when he did it. Look at the internet that is one of the symptoms 'Popping'.

It is the fittest Akwasi has been, look at the number of games he has played, not played this many games on the bounce since his Birmingham days, he has never been fitter.

Only injury of note that akwasi has had is the Hamstring. To suggest that he had a weak Achilles is utter rubbish. It was never mentioned to him.

He did have a 4month spell out with damaged knee ligaments whilst at Chester and don’t forget hamstring injuries are always a red light for potential future ACL damage.

Thanks for confirming, there is also the point, as someone also has mentioned, that the physio the serial liar sought to quote would have performed his medical.

Possibly from articles like these that arrive in my emails on a regular basis...

This subject has given me more amusement today that perhaps it should have!

I reckon it deserves its own thread: Does Ashley Carson religiously watch a TV drama about institutional corruption?

He’d be great as the “star” in a new reality TV. show. Clueless.
A new hope.

Asante booked in to have operation in 3 weeks time.
Been told he is in very good spirits and cannot wait to start his come back.
He has earmarked January if all goes well.
He is still travelling up to the club in the week to see Physio and to give the players some support.

Does anybody know what a typical 'complete rest period' is after these operations? How soon can light physio and walking/swimming begin?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Preferably no rest at all (of rest of body)
Aim to be walking unaided if possible within first 3 days (some will depend. If. His previous knee injury was on same knee etc)

The injury that was reported on his knee when he was at Chester was actually a hamstring injury. That is from the horses mouth so I have been reliably informed.

Good, so they will both be able to join in with the camaraderie, banter, and warm ups of pre season? I wonder how far Asante's journey to work is? Can it still be true, in this day and age, that some footballers can justify commuting hundreds of miles?

Akwasi car shares with three other players from the West Midlands.

Well in my opinion, having done it for 10 sodding years, that's too far. 3 hours a day in a car cannot be condusive.
