Of course until the Syrian usurper was installed by Edward III, Edmund the Martyr from Suffolk was the patron saint of England. We should have a public holiday on 20 November rather than an extra spring one.

Chap in Warwick is flying the flag of St George and Naval Ensign each side of the Union Jack - that's the style.
