Nobody can deny that this idea is proven. CFC must know how successful it was, and do it again with a different manager.

There is no evidence whether it contributed to our success

You have an inability to spot trends. Have you considered becoming a Labour Party exit poll analyst?.

Yes, but I know 2 seasons (one where we had almost no new players to bond) is not a trend

3 day p55 up- nothing more daft than 3 days pre season.

I'm going for 10 days with some players pre-pre season.
Hope I don't bump into Cookie et al at the training venues (but something tells me I won't :-)

we'll see then!!

Have they got a match to play while they are there? Not really sure what is to be gained unless Saunders as got a Portuguese whizz kid in his sights we got a chairman who is saving his pennies and the question is how much as this cost?

A training camp is a brilliant way of ensuring every aspect of a players condition can be monitored without distractions of home.
Facilities, weather all great

PC is usually good with the PR.

His comments are 'to get away have a game of golf and a nice beer' to bond. This is prior to pre season training, so you might be right, a lads boozing trip!

Hope they stick to the stairs and avoid the lift!

I think the benefits of a trip like this is dubious at best.

But we have done it in the past few years so why break the habit. We've goy money to burn after all these player sales

First year it was a "player bonding trip", last year it was a ""*** up", this year it is so the players can bond with the "management team"

Really?
Fitness, bonding, testing etc.
It's 2015 not 1978.
The days of long runs around Newbold reservoir are long gone

(I'm not a big believer of trips mid season though)

New season, same old moaning about pre season trips! My opinion? Absolutely nothing wrong with it.. A week of ale, running, football and bonding before the proper hard graft starts!
