If we don't sign a couple of decent loans then that to me signals that DA & CT having given up bothering about staying in L1. On the other hand I trust Danny and Morgs.to make a fight of it anyway and keeping injury free we should be able to stop up.

Most likely I'd have thought. Trouble is we look like we have no one to go up top tomorrow night, unless young Rai can do the job. Not really his game tho' either.

Don't think he is bothered about staying up. He wants L1 crowds but wants to pay L2 wages to a small squad. Cannot work. Crowds will drop dramatically if we go down this year because if we do then it isn't the team or manager that has relegated us, just a greedy owner wanting his money back all too quickly to care about anything else.

I'd probably dispute your business model a bit mate, I doubt such as burton and Leicester are paying huge wages (in relation to their respective leagues) but they are still in good positions.
You can have success on limited budgets.

Burton have not sold practically every good player in the club. We now have last seasons reserves, raw kids, poor signings by a badly appointed and sacked manager and a very good goalkeeper. Unfortunately a keeper cannot do it all by himself.
We had a good budget and blew it on the likes of S E B. But who alone set on donkey Saunders. Would you or anyone else watching the dire rubbish we now get served up have been blind enough to give the managers position to a well documented failure.
Only saying what many fans feel.

They may well have but its all relative, where does that stand in relation to agueros contract with city?
Leicester are paying a lot of money no doubt, but in relation to city, arsenal, Chelsea, United, liverpoo etc their wage bill will be small fry.

Mate don't get me wrong I feel the same pain you do, I've seen the club all but financially melt down twice and wouldn't like to see it again.
I get what you're saying and the Saunders appointment is the part that mystifies me most, and I hope if anyone ever got a private audience with Allen he would admit it was a massive mistake on his part.
The part of me that has a limited understanding of business completely gets what the chairman is doing though, he's into the club for about 9 million isn't he? And he's going to want it back at some point, which I suppose he would only get by selling up and I can't see an orderly queue of rich folk lining up at that price, much less if the price were a few million higher, so at some point he was bound to want to cut his losses and reduce the amount he has in the club.
The Saunders appointment cocked everything up, not only was he a proven failure, he also didn't have much of a recruitment policy, it was either has been a with bad injury records, or complete rough diamond youngsters. He couldn't find a jimmy Ryan type seasoned pro who had plenty left in him and could come straight into the side.
Burton have sold their major asset now, we are all selling clubs at this level after all, I never thought they would keep this up so I'm interested to see how their season ends up
