From the same 'football insider' that had Cook off to argyle a week or so ago...
I'll wait for more concrete evidence

Hmm. Obviously want to keep him, he’s been class recently but still not worried if we lose him. I’d expect Cook & co to have somebody lined up and even if we didn’t sign a replacement I’d expect to win the league. But yeah hopefully he stays and signs a contract but I think we’re in for a battle. He’s very ambitious and they’re 5th in L1

That also said he’d never managed in the Chamapuonship before….
Feels like nothing more than a site devoted to agents trying to raise the profile of their players/managers

Isn’t that the same account that said cook was off to Plymouth and said cook has never managed in the championship? Seem some Oxford fans getting excited that they are signing langstaff from county as well.
Wouldn’t be surprised if there is some interest in Dobra due to his contract situation but unless someone is desperate I’d expect most clubs to wait until the summer and get him for next to nowt instead.

There is a big difference of say an optimistic bid 0f £25,000 and a more realistic bid of £300K plus.
We could post we have made a bid for Sancho at Manchester United but its unlikely to be accepted by the club or player.

Pete o rourke reposted it. He was the first (not on BB) to report naylor coming here.

6 months left on his deal. He’s worth much closer to 25k than 300k. His value will be calculated as how much the club is prepared to turn down for 6 months what you can assume a fairly disgruntled dobra.
Non of these anonymous twitter accounts are worth bothering with. If you can’t see who’s posting the messages assume it’s someone with not much better to do

So if the money is right from Oxford, I wouldn’t be against us accepting as long as a decent chunk of it is re-invested into a replacement (which I’m sure it will be if it happens). Better that than just lose him for free in the summer (well, we’ll get a pittance tribunal fee given his age).
He’s been fantastic for us, and I would love him to stay & sign a long term deal here, but I get the feeling that that just isn’t going to happen unfortunately.

Not a chance we’re getting anything like an offer of £300,000 for a player who is out of contract in the summer. We’ll do well to get an offer anywhere near £100,000 unless some club is desperate for him.

I hadn't realised the Cook 1 did before. Oh well, least we have a thread for January now.
On another manager note, Luke Williams is 1/10 for the Swansea job

If he knows his football, he realise he’s unlikely to play every week here. Only a very few do.

Head and shoulders the best player on the park saturday, baring his miss he ran them ragged and although its taken time to get back in the groove he is back with a vengeance, responsible for 2 of the 3 goals for his determination setting up naylor and grigg and his final ball was a huge improvement he wont be a loss far worse he will leave a huge huge hole, its the younger players who we need to push the boat out to keep, got to be worth 5k a week

For those of us that can't be bothered with X or Twitter or whatever it would be nice if names are quoted rather than links we can't linked to, please.
