Might be a little quiet on here given the numbers travelling, but in many ways this could be a real watershed afternoon for us.
We've made an extremely encouraging start that's led to many dubbing us play off contenders, however an apparently lacklustre defeat at Colchester, accompanied by the Manager's talk of changes, has created doubts.
So how will we fare against a struggling Walsall side? What impact will Cook's tinkering have? Will it prove a failed experiment or a template for the future?
A very, very interesting ninety minutes awaits...

Cant help feel its a mistake by PC not to play Johnson.

4-2-3-1?
If so, does Morsy or Ryan play in a central attacking role?
Hmmm...

no Johnson on the bench, that looks like that is that as far as he's concerned

Maybe that was the first place Cook should've looked to tighten up

Perhaps Johnson didn't react well to being benched last time
God knows?

I`d have Boco on the right, and keep Johnson. Add a little cover for RG while keeping one of the clubs best players in the side while we have him. The `changes` can come in 2 games time.

A little bird told me he's gone back.
I'm hoping today is the start of Dan Gardner's rise to the top. I look at him and think 'thorougbred'. Presumably, he'll be coming central alongside Doyle when the ball is on the left, and Clucas will be doing the same thing when the ball is on the right. Also, the fuulbacks will have alot more freedom to tear ass forward.

Johnson is one of the reasons Doyle has flourished, infact I'm not sure we have anyone else who can match his direct yet intelligent use of the ball.
I can understand Cook's thinking, but why not use an asset whilst we have him.
Boco?
Perhaps his situation speaks to the imbalance Cook refers to: several attacking options for a limited number of places yet few, if any alternatives in defensive areas.

Can't see any other reason
Preparing for life after Johnson, I have never heard such nonsense.
Cook make great play in treating loan players well and getting a good reputation so clubs will want to send their players to us.
