When I have been to Zenit games in St Petersburg they have 3 cheerleaders stood at the front of their Kop organising the singing. Sounds impressive when they have different groups Co-ordinated

During the highlights you could plenty of noise from the home fans. In fact the away fans were hardly discernible.

What happens when anyone dissents from the singing?

It could have been either set heard as they like most teams sing the same songs and had a drummer. They never stopped, we did.

Away atmospheres are always better than home as it has been said on this thread already.

Saying that it has been a little disappointing last few games however Saturday was an improvement.

I think it helps with new songs being added in especially for the players. For example quigleys song is sung loud and sounds great, Berry’s new one got a little bit of traction Saturday and I think that could be a similar one to Quigs’.

The newish one we nabbed from Palace sounds good as well.

My point is it’s about variety instead of just we’re all town aren’t we or Paul cooks barmy army on repeat, they will always have their place of course however everyone needs to join in with the newer fresher ones imo.

We’re definitely being out sung. They are much more louder than us.

It doesn't help when our club allow the opposition to bring drums into the stadium. It's not so bad when they are in the North Stand, but when they are in the East it makes it difficult for the East Standers to out sing them.

Well travelled away fans like Southend usually make lots of noise on their travels so let's not give away our vocal superiority.

75% of what I heard from them was dross directed at us rather than actually getting behind the side in fairness

Then again they didn’t have a lot to get behind

It all seemed a bit orchestrated alot of singing none applicable compulsory songs ie " football in a library" when it clearly wasn't or classics like aldershot singing Chesterfield's a sh....le etc, unless they didn't live in aldershot

I think actually we might be a victim of our own success regarding the atmosphere......earlier in the season when we we storming back from behind in games the atmosphere was excellent. Think with us winning every home game maybe the fans feel they don't need to try as much....just a thought.

Maybe you mean prescriptive and generic like 99% of football chants. So generic, apparently Southend fans were singing ‘all town…’ and proclaiming Quigley is the ‘White Pele’ amongst other town specific chants.

Worth noting that Maher in his post match interview complemented both club’s supporters for the atmosphere. Me, I didn’t think it was particularly special.

It’s just typical that now we are almost unassailable that people are shifting to criticising the crowd. God knows what it’ll be like when we’ve won the league and there’s buggar all to discuss for the last 6/8 games.

I thought that “Quigger Quagger” version of Zigga Zagga being sung in W7 just after he’d scored was a brilliant take on a classic chant, pity it didn’t catch on.

You can’t top the W7 ultras😂

They were in good voice yesterday, indeed I recall seeing our very own Earl up and leading at least one chant second half.
