    Played way more than Rowe has and he's got a defibrillator fitted like Erikson has. Seems like a different situation to Rowe as he never seemed to get to bottom of treating his.

    Maybe the design doesn't allow it.

    Probably more complicated in a corner as they would need to go up two sides of the pitch to protect the stands from wayward shots as having the net on the pitch would still have the ball going towards fans. As it stands they just have a straight net on just one side between the goal and the corner that will be easy to put up in a straight line and just one to take down.

    He was diagnosed with a heart condition after collapsing in training back in Nov 21 and was out for a good while as that was sorted. It fuelled the covid jab conspiracy lot until Wyke confirmed he'd not had any covid jabs!

    Not sure where you got your figures from but he made 34 appearances last season for Wigan then Rotherham on loan scoring 9 goals according to Soccerbase playing on a pretty regular basis.

    He'd made 17 appearances prior to the heart issue in 21/22 season then understandably didnt feature again that season. Was back for the start of the 22/23 season and he featured on a regular basis from August to November before missing a chunk coming back in Feb to feature a few times before the end of the season. From looking around him not featuring during the spell in 2023 was not down to injury but down to manager Shaun Maloney opting to not use him which baffled Wigan fans who saw him as their best striker. Some talk that further appearances would trigger a clause to extend his contract although not sure thats right.

    From reading this article it appears the quick actions of Leam Richardson saved his life when he collapsed in training :-
