Herd back to right back?
4-4-2?
What's Sam Hird done wrong?
For all of our sakes, and Saunders', let's hope his selections aren't being derided come 4.55.
Come on Town.

Tbf Herd and O'Neil may be other way round, they were Tuesday, changed it. Wonder if Hird's ribs are still a bit rough.
Hope Morsy can get booked today, means his auto suspension would be v Rochdale on Tuesday.

I guess Saunders deserves credit for tacitly admitting what a b*ll*ck he's dropped wasting his budget on Gnanduillet, Banks and E-B (I've more sympathy regarding Talbot given his encouraging end of last season, but the simple truth is he's now just another crock handed a deal).
But Dropping Hird? Seriously? The bloke whose calm reading of the game saved us on several occasions against Burton? And many, many times over the years before that, too.
Perhaps the greatest indictment against what's happened at our club over the last ten months, though, is the fact we're reduced to relying upon a kid from Wednesday's development squad and another from Ilkeston Town. A inspirational selection by a manager with a plan or a final, desperate gamble from someone with nowhere else to go?
Hmmm...

Hird is on the bench, so he can't be that badly injured. I don't see the sense in leaving Hird out and playing Herd and O'Neil who have both been extremely poor. Sam Hird has also looked more likely to score than most others so far this season.

And if he doesnt make a few changes and we lose he will get it anyway. I think he is right to try something different, maybe a bit of bravery there

So fair play to DS for that.
A great opportunity for Mani and Rai.
I hope it works out.
Come on Town.
