Three starters from their last game all unavailable, the injury plus two loan players recalled. They've recalled a player who was out on loan at Blyth Spartans.

They will probably get some bods in on loan, still a decent side whatever they put out and a tough game.

He was the star of their victory at Barnet. Strange one, bit like Dallas. Signed from Woking in the summer, played one league game, and then loaned to the Heed.

Didn’t even realise he’d been on loan at Gateshead.

I wonder if a lot of these will end up on loan at MK Dons?

Gateshead now lost their loan keeper from Norwich, Archie Mair (yes him from the play off final), who has been recalled to then join morecambe on loan.

Wouldn't be surprised Dallas being recalled from Killi as he ain't getting much game time.
Not saying he should be coming here but obviously he ain't dislodging their stikers for regular play

He wouldn’t get regular football at Chesterfield baring an injury to Grigg.
God I hate this league.

Talking of Lofthouse, Barnsley fans seem to think he’s no where near their first team- which suggests he will be placed on loan with a higher playing club. Wonder which one?

He'd be a great diffetent option from the bench. We would have, in theory, 3 different types of striker. He'd defo get more game time here than at Killi and Barnsley and probably start the odd game when/if resting Grigg or a tactical starting line up change. But with limited subs bench, it would mean someone gets to lose out wether that would be a midfielder or Quiggs

Isn’t Dallas barred another move now? Can’t play for another side on loan, or is that rule gone?

Archie Mair recalled from Gateshead to go on loan to morecambe so presumably no reason Dallas couldn’t make another move.

Up to 3 sides a season in total, including his host club if he plays for them.

Well I think they had a goalkeeper on the bench in their last game along with one other outfielder and two academy lads so they are ok for cover

So the running total is 4 missing from that game but they have recalled a player from Blyth who wasn’t getting much game time.

Will any of the walking injured (Wearn?) return in time to play us?

Why is this game on Wednesday rather than the usual Tuesday? Not complaining town’s midweek fixtures were always on a Wednesday back in the day.

I've been wondering the same. The only downside is that it means Barnet will play two league games before we play our next one, and Bromley will play one today. I'm not really bothered about it, but it does mean Barnet could close the gap to one point, so the usual suspects will be flooding the board with their predictions of doom. Of course we'll have more games in hand, but it would be great if Barnet and/or Bromley dropped points before Wednesday night.

According to the podcast, we were hosting SUFC v SWFC under 23’s on Tuesday night, and the NL made us play Gateshead on Wednesday. Then somebody got the Deedah fixture moved to April to protect the pitch.
It’s worked out for our schedule so nobody wanted the arrangements changing.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on
