I believe Tyrer was mentioned on here weeks before his actual signing was announced. I’d imagine give the crucial nature of the position Cook will want confirmation, one way or the other, very early!

There’s a couple of rumours with Tyrer that indicate it might not be set in stone. The most interesting being Everton are up ****creek with FFP and are going to cut their cloth big time in the summer so Tyrer naturally goes up the pecking order as a result of shifting some big earners off the books

Last season Cook had most of the business done early so they could all go on the pre season team bonding trip to Spain or wherever it was. Fully expect the same again this time around so expect more incomings in the next couple of weeks - take your pick from Macfazdean, Clucas, Ben Fox, Dejaune Brown etc as to whom they may be.

Would like us to go after Lee Evans too but that might be a stretch

I'd say you can kiss that one goodbye given the signing of Madden and his ability to play as central attacking mid/shadow striker.

Nothing concrete about him going anywhere as it stands. Apart from Altrincham confirming he is under contract so is going to need a decent fee to get them to sell him and their manager saying there is a chance he could leave its all just people saying they would like their club to sign him and the numerous make it up football transfer accounts saying all manner of clubs want to sign him!

I'm not sure he was ever really a viable option for us considering it will take a decent fee and the other clubs supposedly interested in him plus even before Madden we have a lot of options in the areas he generally plays.

With the attack minded midfielders we have I am certainly happier with Madden over Conn Clarke.
Having the experience of Madden mixing it up with Dobs, Mandi, Hobson, Oldaker is better than a relatively young up and coming Conn Clarke.
