So at what point does the messageboard not become the clubs official messageboard?

Mark
This messageboard effectively predated the current FL website collective.
From memory and my own version:
At the point where the Club could have set up a forum as part of the new website this was already the main messageboard for CFC. The moderators then included Bob who paid and set up the thing and who had run official sites before. Other mods were the current website lead, the Club historian and myself as a CFSS Board member.
Under the circumstances we got an agreement that rather than establish a new forum we could link to the existing one and that became "official".
However Club officers have always kept the wessageboard at arms length and seldom intervene except where content might bring the Club into disrepute. I guess a case of "if it isn't broke, don't fix it." That doesn't mean we are perfect and sometimes we do need a little reminder from one side or another.

Thanks Pete.
Its pretty much as I thought. I wasn't trying to infer anything bad by my question I was just trying to establish what was what. Many clubs don't have "Official" forums I was wondering why we did. I can understand the "arms length" bit. I am just not convinced the tag "Official" is correct (in my own view of course)
Thanks again for clearing up my brain! I can sleep easy now.
