Gary Roberts, who many now think of as a money grabber, was one of our oldest players last season and yet he still grabbed many games by the scruff of the neck and pushed us forward.

Roberts had a full pre season before he arrived, im not keen on the situation we have got ourselves in, eagles has class but cannot be fit.

Before I even saw this thread I had heard the deal is done from a source within the club and expected to be named during today so we'll see what happens.

I don't know if we are about to sign him or not,but Saunder's did say some of his targets are trialing at Championship club's & my start to feel the pressure should they not get a contract offer.Saunders said he knows where they are,i wouldn't be surprised if Chris Eagles is one of those players although I have no idea about the rumour.

I dont know if he is based in the north west but sometimes players train with local clubs purely for fitness as opposed to having a trial
