suspect its the frustration of a manager who is realising that the players are not doing what they are asked to do, or what they are capable of doing.... he might need a season in L1 with his own choice of players to make a difference...

Given that it's Ipswich, they are approaching their third year in the third division and are hugely underperforming, I don't think I'd be too concerned if the manager said that to be honest. I suspect either total butt-kicking or a clear out is needed.

They might be worth a bet for promotion next season
If he's still in charge, it says new owners have taken over the club, and that usually means they want to make a statement of intent to the fans, which invariably means a big name failing as a new manager.

Lambert went when the deal was almost done, its thought that Cook was the choice of new owners as he played right style of football...

As much as Cooks leaving here left a bitter taste in my mouth, and yes I know there’s two sides to the story, you can’t criticise his record at all. The Ipswich fans would do well to listen to him and give home time to sort it out because he will, either that or go back to the likes of Lambert and co.

interestingly i listened to his interview when appointed manager at Ipswich, to highlight one point he made, his respect for Wigan meant that he didn't pursue taking Liam Richardson with him at the time but did say it was something he'd look at when the time was right, i presume that may mean end of season when wigan are safe? Richardson doing pretty well to keep wigan in that league whilst cookie struggles to get Ipswich going, LR has been with PC during all his successes
