Loved the Britpop era, but the Roses and Mondays and Primal Scream outweigh them all.

Add the La's onto those 3 and you've got near musical perfection.

Lee Mavers hates that album. WTF?? It is one of the best ever made IMO.

Could be going to see Frankie & the Heartstrings there on a Sunday at the end of May....know nothing about the place but they tend not to do massive venues!

stone roses were/are over hyped 60s retread.
primal scream had 1 quality album before they became a rolling stones tribute act.
happy mondays were top drawer.

off at a tangent: rumours are that ac/dc are going to announce their retirement. not bother me in the slightest but some on here will be upset (jamie)

Now dont get me wrong i love britpop but.......for me its a poor mans substitute for the 80's coz


The jam, madness, the clash etc rocked.


Why is it i am struggling to find any geat tunes in the last 14 years.....kasabian aside!

the jam split in 82
the clash effectly were over when mick jones left in 83
madness were done by 85.

so what did you spend the 80s listening to?
