Chesterfield manager John Sheridan has said he is still looking to add a wide midfield player and a striker to his squad before the start of the season.

The Spireites have already signed central defender Ian Breckin and midfielder Mark Allott this summer.

"It's important that we can get them in before the start of the season," Sheridan told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I am trying my best. I think it will strengthen us up, and put pressure on those players already here."

no mention of another central player, so guess that puts the rumours about Flynn to bed?
