I would agree that we need better wide options, balls in today were ok but ok doesn't win the day

Didnt caldwell insist on the pitch being made wider yet we played with no wingers and the strikers (presumably) were instructed not to work the channels. Shoot me down if am wrong but isnt that just well stupidly almost hypocritical.

This after destroying us with diagonal balls when we played at wigan, timez today we could have switched it?? We was too slow to do it.

He was in the West Stand yesterday. Using crutches and looking very uncomfortable. I'm no medic, but it doesn't look good.

Not disagreeing with Warfey, but what we need more than anything, and its been in very short supply in the last 18 months, is a very large slice of luck, followed by a little more of it. We need it soon or confidence will be low, an we know where that ends up.

Know real need for the panic button to be hit yet, as there will be half this league in false positions for the next month or so :)

I followed Pompey on Twitter yesterday. Talbot played at right back. There was lots of whingeing and moaning about him when the team was announced. He had to switch to left back due to an injury/substitution. In the event, he seems to have had a good, steady game and won over many of his critics. I wonder if he wants to play out his career in this area.

The strikers ended up out wide a fair amount due to the nature of the formation but that's not where they want to be, they hurt nobody from those areas.

No he's your player you keep him. We've paid enough players to sit in the stands in recent years. He plays less games than Ironside nowadays.

What my point was mate is that when our full backs or midfield 3 had possession there was absolutely no outlet down the channels, the majority of time we worked it there really was when firing it into the feet of ugwu/COG and them bein forced out wide through good defending. We didnt do enough to stretch their defence and get in behind the full backs. The suze of COG and Ugwu we should be prioritsing getting balls into the box, i cant remember any half decent crosses in, and i think you eluded to it on twitter it was just them crappy little clipped balls with no pace Sinnot and co kept delivering from poor angles.

I think he means in the left back area, rather than the north Derbyshire one.

Demetriou is a Full Contact player, so they will be touting him around off the back of that strike yesterday. Or does Warfey work for Full Contact as a scout?
These go to eleven.
