Such a lovely bloke (lovley spireite) always said hello and always had a smile on his face
R.I.P pal
Would love to see a minute applause on Saturday for him
There is already one planned for Saturday for Rodney Fern but recognition for him from the club would be greatly received by the fans, I'm sure.

Jesus Christ that has rocked me to my core....
I saw him at many away games for years over the years (well let's be honest there aren't that many of us) but never said a word to him. Then when we moved to the new ground and he sat near me in the east stand I chatted to him virtually every game for 5 years without ever knowing his name and he never knew mine....
He was a smashing fella, town was his life and when I saw the RIP thread and realised it was him....well I am still struggling to believe it, as he was fit as a fiddle!
All I can say is keep a space in that Spireite Valhalla for me Bones!!!

O cheers pal, I didn’t know about Rodney’s applause, but rightly so, obviously, hope ‘bones’ gets a mention as well then if it’s possible

A regular home and away for as long as I can remember, usually travelling with the Bridge Inn in the last few years.
Always good company either for a quick chat at the match or a few pints.
RIP mate.
Absolutely devastated to here this news
Bonehead used to come down to hollingwood with some of the Brim lads in the eighties and usually join in and have a game of football. He was about six years older than me but also about five foot taller well thats whatbit seemed. He always made a beeline for me called me Irish and other things and although he was huge I never felt threatened.
A true gentle giant and an absolute loyal supporter of CFC. This news has left me very very sad tonight.
God bless you bonehead a lovely lovely bloke x

He played both football and cricket locally for many years and worked as a business manager for banks locally until his illness took hold.
A good bloke who will be missed.

As a regular away traveller on the Bridge I became really good friends with Bones especially over the last couple of years. A Spireite through and through. Heart of gold and a great sense of humour.
RIP mate

From a personal point of view Bones became an extremely good friend who we spent a lot of time with on our away travels. Kimberley and myself will miss him dearly, he was a real character and extremely funny with his very dry humour and occasional cutting remark.
As a traveller with the Bridge Inn he had become a part of the furniture. He had been a bit of a lad back in the day but he was a pleasure to travel with and second to none in his reliability.
For someone who never used a mobile phone he was as good as anyone, and better than a lot, about communicating regarding his bookings. He never let us down once and I think that is true of all his friendships.
On Saturday he said to Kimberley "don't take Andy Cox off the Torquay weekend trip, he's improving every day and he may well be there". Sadly Bones you won't be there, however you will be greatly missed and remembered with love and fondness by everyone for years to come.
We will miss you no end Bones, God bless you love Paul and Kimberley xx.
