would be at a Eurovision party with my other half and her wider family (any excuse to have a party!) but instead have my grandsons staying over so we will be watching and supporting a country each - oldest has gone for Italy (as there was mention of food associated with your chosen country and he loves pizza), middle one has gone for France so he can wear his PSG kit - and he loves French fries... and youngest is too young to understand so he can sleep through it (hopefully!)

I'll back Croatia (great food when we were there last year so I'll go for something we had then!) and my other half can be the patriot and support UK...

The music will have nothing to do with it and unusually neither will politics!

Not really that interested in it but for those who are I hope they enjoy it and for the UKs entrant I hope he does well. Not sure why the question should be asked whether patriots will be flag waving, maybe just looking for isms and phobias in every nook and cranny to justify it?
Anyway main priority is ensuring the safety of all contestants and supporters, particularly the Israeli entrant, because we don’t want another terrorist massacre do we! I hope the Israeli contingent and supporters aren’t subjected to mass antisemitism around the event.

Like I say, let’s hope all contestants and supporters are kept safe. It must be a very worrying time for the Israeli contestant!

And this is posted on a football message board - when football fans are amongst the worst for turning up en masse, trying to intimidate, harass and threaten people....
