Who was watching the smoke bomb and missed Evo tackling for their penalty? I did

Do you think the Ref should have stopped the game until it had been disposed of?

fans switching off for a smoke bomb is one thing, players should be switched on and they clearly were not. play to the whistle and all... the bomb was not on the pitch as I recall so ref in his rights to play on. move on, horrible result for us, 45 to go.

New directives about pyro and smoke is game 'should' be abandoned and big sanctions for club (or. Behind closed door games).

Danger with that of course is if a game is not going well- stick a pyro on!
What idiots bring them to a game?

Which club should be punished - the away team who'se supporters smuggled them into the ground and set them off or the home side who'se fans behaved but failed to detect that the away fans were mindless enough to be carrying these devices baring in mind that there was sufficient of a police presence for them to take some responsibility in return for the extortionate charges they invoice clubs with?

It's not the police as rarely now so police have a presence in the grounds (in London certainly)
The security teams are responsible - all clubs (in London again) now use Pyro dogs.

Don't the police have duties outside the grounds?

Don't we often see away fans being escorted in troublesome groups by the police?

Are these devices purchased inside the ground? No, these devices are most probably carried by the away fans from their own home territory all the way to the away ground whilst a lot of the time they are under scrutiny of the police and other stewarding whilst travelling on organised transport.

Sorry, CPS, we are entering into the usual blame game where one group looks for excuses so that they can pass the blame on to others. As with parenting, in my opinion, the responsibility starts at home.

Yes of course but the Poice wouldn't search for pyro's etc as it's not their match day role.
Obviously their intelligence may lead to suspected people being questioned etc.

The use of these dogs will become more prevalent as the problem of these devices gets worse.

From what I understand it was our stewards who were responsible for searching, not the police, not the extra stewards, so it was in our hands to stop the devices getting into the ground.

Yes mate I understand that, my point was it's CFC regular stewards who did the searching on Saturday, I believe it costs more if you get the hired help stewards to do it.

I suspect from W7. The one I saw thrown just after we scored looked to have a blue tint.

Stewards shouldn't be searching unless they are licenced - Town will have had licenced security there I'm sure?
Security normally search- stewards watch the crowd and keep aisles clear etc

Is there a requirement nowadays for a fire officer a Games in case of pyro etc?
