Sheff U goal today was not clear and obvious, took 4 minutes to view the footage. Awful for the watching public. Was one at Everton last week that took 5 minute again. Week after week it’s making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Bin it - yay or nay?

Minutes before United scored, McGoldrick had a goal chalked off by VAR after a four minute review (per Sky). Take a look just how close it was. Whatever happened to the benefit of doubt going to the forward.

Something’s got to change. If decisions can’t be made in under a minute, forget it.

The statement has been made on numerous occasions that the frames per second don't allow for precision. Therefore why not say it has to be a foot offside to overrule the onfield decision

But then the frames come into play for the new limit. Whatever the limit is, there's a line where you could be millimetres over.

I think that just adds to the complications and time delays of it.

It might encourage more people to watch teams in the lower leagues if people are that fed up of it

This said the marginal offside decisions are fine by me, if the video is there and they determine it’s offside then it’s offside. It’s a yes/no decision. They just need to speed up getting there and make it clear what constitutes offside. I’ve seen one still of the blunts decision and his foot is offside so the issue isn’t they got it wrong just those working it took ages to do it and nothing is communicated to those in the stadium.

Time delays are here. It's not going to go away unless FIFA decides to bin it and whilst other football associations don't join the Anti VAR crowd then it won't be ousted.
The problem as it stands is that the refereeing has been taken away from the referee and transferred to a faceless referee who can make anal decisions without any repercussions and take as much time As he wants whilst doing it.
So to put the control back into the hands of the footballers give them an appeal. The decision has to have been made for them to appeal against and the ball is not in play. So if a goal has been scored but has been ruled out for offside (incorrectly) then the captain can appeal the decision, all officials look at the screen and decide to either uphold or decline the appeal. No more appeals then, win or lose.
It stops diving because it can be reviewed and no player is going to encourage his captain to appeal a decision when he knows he has tried to con the ref. The players can't argue with the ref because his response would be to tell his captain to appeal or that their appeal has been used.
Slowly but surely the cheating would be ruled out.
No need for a faceless official making decisions miles away from the ground telling the ref to rule out a goal because a players chest hair is offside.
