I’ve been thinking about this since we limped over the line on Sunday, and it’s really quite surreal that a team that’s as bad as we have been for months now is about to compete in the play offs.
I wonder if in the history of the play offs, there has ever been any team or set of fans that has gone into a play off campaign so devoid of confidence, so devoid of any idea how to create chances. The last 3 and a half games not just without a goal, but basically with barely a sniff of a goal (Grimes v stockport the only real chance I can think of).
Is there any chance we can transform ourselves from that into 3 performances that would see us back in the FL? Extremely unlikely you have to think, but I guess that’s why we all love football so much, because you just never know.
Come on town!!!

Said exactly the same Pete - the form book says we may as well not bother. But then it did back in 97 when we played Bolton, etc and look what happened then....
3 games, 3 0-0 and win them all on pens? wonder what odds you can get on that..... (whatever they are they wont be good enough as it will never happen!)

That said how big a shock would it be us beating Halifax? How much would you bet on them to beat us? Coming 7th we couldn’t have had a better draw. We’ve a chance.

Why not in the next match?
Then, confidence could return for the next two.
Probability is in our favour.

It would be a very interesting 'build-a bet' Ian, would love to see the odds. I'd say our chances 3 zeros in the goals for column would be a lot higher than 3 clean sheets, each one over 120 minutes, so equivalent of 4 clean sheets really, in terms of 90 minutes.

Tyson all the way, surely Cook has to see how uncomfortable defenders are against him.

I think we could squeeze past Halifax as they aren't in great form and as others have said, law of averages says we have to score again at some point and maybe even put in a half decent performance. But Solihull would be a different challenge altogether, lost just 1 of their last 20 I believe. They really are the archetypal 'team with with momentum' going in to the play offs, but as you say there's always a chance.

God that could be a late one home for next day workers but it could have been worse I suppose if we were likely to draw southern based teams.

Getting up the next day if we lose will feel like you've had a late one the night before, if we win you won't even notice, you'll be up early making plans for Solihull
