He's just signed a new 2 year contract with Burnley, only a year long loan is possible.

It's transfer window to transfer window so we could get him until January

He's not going to be anywhere near playing in their first team, surely, so we should try and make this happen.

That has to be the hope because they were both miles off being good enough . The new right back didn't impress either but I'll give him time to be fair. Hird was excellent and the keeper looks the part but strangely wasn't tested that much despite total dominance by Wednesday first half - so judgement reserved again.

I hear good things about the lad from Grimsby and Ariyibi was in his unplayable mood when he came on. With those two on the pitch , and if Evans manages his assimilation back into the game with us , then we might not be as bad in League One as a very good Wednesday team made us look yesterday .

We need another centre back but Danny knows that. The lad from Burnley would do for me.

It's all about opinions , personally I was impressed with Mc.Ginn. ok he wasn't fast like Tendayi, but he was solid not afraid to tackle

and put in some good crosses. Sorry to be positive .

Positivity is like gold dust on here mate. Good for you! My attempt at it was that we may be better in League One than Wednesday made us look. I'm not writing McGinn off.

Yes I agree, I thought he looked OK. Certainly not a worry. Jones as well will only get better with game time and I don't think it'll be long until he's back to speed. Evo is Evo, great in the air but suspect on the floor. The keeper looked very capable and if we're doing ok when Tommy recovers he could have a battle on his hands to get back.
Midfield is a worry and TBH the strikers didn't get enough of a chance to prove themselves, but very early days yet.
East stand second class citizen.

I don't read anything into yesterday's game.
Our players have just come back from a tough training camp , spent 11 hours travelling back by the time they arrived Friday then played a team with the the quality Wednesday have.
I believe our pre season programme is wrong.yesterdays game should have been against lesser opponents and then gradually stepping it up as the fitness levels improve over the next couple of weeks.

So a good work out but nothing to read performance wise

That would be because cash came first probably the only date Wednesday could make, they are playing in the Algarve next week against CD Nacional with fans invited...

Ageed. I thought Ariyibi looked stronger on one to ones, especially when he got to the line which led to a near miss by Dennis.
Evatt also made several good cross field passes. Fulton looked good on crosses. As you say this game came too early, Wednesday are 5/1 for promotion to the championship, so 2-0 was a respectable result.

Bigger squads at all the top clubs, especially clubs like Burnley - not saying I'd mind though.

The big worry for me is Evatt fitness - if we lose him.
God I hate this league.

Depends how the relegated sides fair....Newcastle will be strong and should expect to go back up, Villa potentially could turn things around depending on what the new owner throws at it and Norwich will be there or there abouts. Not sure any of the promoted from league 1 sides will be in the mix but you would expect Derby, Brighton as well to be in the mix again.

Wigan look a decent outside shot for promotion at 33's (inc via play offs).

scrub that, they're 10/1 for promotion (inc play offs) and now 40/1 to win the Championship
