If you’re getting this stressed over it I apologise- I’m with big Ange on this about supporting a team:-

I don’t really see how wanting the club to win a game / a trophy has caused so much controversy- is it really bilge? Banal? Juvenile?
Wow

That‘ll be the Ange who selected Richarlison as one of just two players - along with Van de Ven - to retain his place in the side from the 2-0 win against Bournemouth, for the EFL Cup defeat by Fulham back in August.

No comparison between Cup and League it seems.

For the non league run of the mill teams it's well accepted as it's their cup competition but as the National league make it a priority as ie sat games and take over the league the bigger teams fond it a massive hindrance ask Stockport and Notts County as they realised they needed to get out of this league by any means

It’s the FA’s competition, they schedule the games on Saturdays, not the National League.

Very true and it takes over the league and I have watched the last 6 finals too but no more now or non league paper either but my knowledge of the non league teams as drastically improved and know towns who I never knew had a football team

Oh. And it now seems Spurs still have a chance to bag a Champions League spot.

York won promotion and the fa trophy in same season so it can be done. I do agree that some teams seem to devalue it these days, its even been won by some in non leagues second tier in recent years

I think York is the only time it"s ever been done. Furthermore, they didn"t win the [Tier 5] league. They had to take their chance via the play-offs lottery.
