Well we'll never know exactly what happened between Rowe and the masseur. Who told the truth and who lied. But we do know he was entrusted with a hugely important position in football terms, and a much more important one in family terms.

Yet chose to place his own sexual satisfaction before both.

The juxtaposition here is astounding...

Admits he doesnt know what happened, passes judgement anyway.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

A few points to digest.1/ if Rowe was innocent why did he resign2/ If innocent why when first interviewed would only respond with no comment
I?ve heard enough stories of how he spoke to others and behaved at the club to know we are well rid of him

As far as I am aware, the club's disciplinary action related to touchline conduct. Rowe left the club by mutual consent.

I'm sure if everything every player/manager did in their private life was made public it would shock people. There are things I've done that I wouldn't want to be public knowledge.

Spot on, mate. At certain clubs, my clinic sessions used to be next to the massage tables, the stuff I'd hear would shock a lot of folk.

By Rowe's own admission a sexual act took place.

By Rowe's own admission he let his family down.

So yes, my 'judgement' is such an absence of professionalism let down everyone who'd supported him...

Before you dislocate your shoulder smugly patting yourself on the back, let's remember what really happened, shall we?

Chesterfield Football Club took entirely appropriate action when confronted by a serious allegation. In fact courageous action, given the backing Rowe had received and it's league position at the time.

However rather than adopting the measured and moral approach of most you chose to sneer. To scorn. To accuse the Trust of being that silly made up word 'woak'.

And not because of any considered legalistic arguments, but a sexist 'men will be men and women should just get on with it' one.

Which quickly descended into barely disguised victim blaming.

That jeering only continued when they performed the major coup of returning Paul Cook to Sheffield Road. His moves mocked. His teams taunted. The Club's failings celebrated.

Then even when the authorities vindicated Town's decision by charging Rowe, your snide derision remained relentless. A case brought by officials fully informed of it's details dismissed by childish sarcasm.

Well we'll never know exactly what happened between Rowe and the masseur. Who told the truth and who lied. But we do know he was entrusted with a hugely important position in football terms, and a much more important one in family terms.

Yet chose to place his own sexual satisfaction before both.

So "apology"?

I'd say you owe everyone associated with CFC a long and grovelling one...

It can?t be easy for you, I get that

There?s only one victim here though

Yep why did she bother, especially after sending the messages to her mate

Hopefully he gets another job

I suspect the CPS weren't made aware of the WhatsApp messages. If not, how come James Rowe's defence lawyer, became aware of them? Perhaps the "friend"?

You really are a clown aren?t you. Colclough isn?t a narcissistic egomaniac. I?m glad we are rid for many reasons?. His inability to manage a budget, to man manage players, his attitude, never mind his off the field antics

Rowe calling the pitch "the island" did it for me

Indeed. Pity you're not so quick to the keyboard when people whose opinions you so clearly share are libelling those found not guilty in a court of law all over the board.

Odds on it was you who erroneously removed my post saying the case should never have been bought by the CPS as well. Whilst allowing clear breaches of libel to stand.

I know nothing about such a post removal and agree having seen the reports of the case that it shouldn't have come to court given there wasn't sufficient evidence to secure a conviction, which no one apart from those involved would have known

Don?t think the verdict will change the fact that he?ll never work in football again (in this country at least).

There?s always Oldham and Fleetwood.
God I hate this league.

The paper work says 'not guilty'
We've all seen football related folk come back into the game after instances to vile to repeat and I see no exception here. I can see some club will snap him up sooner rather than later

Tried by a jury, men, women, old, young, black, white

All evidence heard over about 4 days

Not Guilty

However much some don?t want to accept it and how it reflects on the Trust those are the absolute facts

To have your career which was on a steep upward trajectory stolen away on the basis of a false allegation must be shattering

This is true.
I hate the guy but he?s innocent of this charge as decided by a jury.

Not guilty is one thing but its similar to the Ched Evans stuff to me, might not have been convicted of stuff but plenty came out that makes both fans and club officials think they dont want that sort of person around their club. Not sure Rowe will be jumping into any National League or higher jobs any time soon.

But he was guilty.

Of putting an admitted act before his partner, family and position.

And let's not forget Fyld too terminated his employment based upon available evidence.

Whilst also remembering your entire anti Town sneer fest was based upon nothing more than small minded bigotry rather than any legal arguments.

I do take one positive from this, though - a woman's word was taken seriously. Which, in a country where rape prosecutions hit all time lows over the last few years, is a step on the right direction...

Agree the verdict was not guilty.

But a steep upward trajectory - you are having a laugh!!

And the Trust acted as I would hope. And as others pointed out? didn?t he leave by mutual consent!!
