I'd say the chants were the usual, acceptable response to a sub on the wind-up, and he laughed at the Robbie Savage one- fair play- but there were some drunk individuals trying to get at him to hurl personal abuse. I remember marvelling at how (and why) people get so bothered about such daft things.

Yes, it was. He was on the pitch during the invasion at the end too, and thankfully nobody took a pop. The Bromley fans that day were pretty decent.

Well, Byron Webster had his fun winding up the crowd when we beat them in the semi last year. Fair play to him really for not reacting to some of the absolute donkeys hurling abuse at him then. I like his take on the shootout v Solihull:

That, like Droylsden, was a match where I almost gave up on football.

S**t Robbie Savage bags the decisive penalty.

So glad Solihull weren’t able to cheat their way into the league.

The difference between this shoutout and ours is, I honestly felt the way was clear for us to win the league next season when we lost. For this pair it was now or possibly never, as neither are likely to dominate the league next season.
