Soli Moors now complaining about the scheduling of less than a 3 day break between Weds and Saturday... (I think the the semis could actually have been switched around), I'm not quite sure about the last line saying that ONLY SM have been prejudiced/inconvenienced by this whole scenario. As stated above, Gateshead have had the worst of it.

..and really what is the difference between Gateshead and Halifax when they are both council owned pitches???

Halifax have been just as inconvenienced as they were due initially to play at Bromley on the Sunday. I can't on the face of it see why the game can't be played tomorrow

So as it stands then (and I stand to be corrected) Halifax have to go to The Birmingham Airport Bus-stop to get the right to play Barnet and Altrincham go to Bromley?

That's right. And the Solihull Halifax game is now on Wednesday night I think, which means the winner gets less than 3 days before the Barnet game. Both get one less day than they'd had before if they get through.

NL have now changed tack to say that Alty will get the bye. At this rate Oldham will be in the play-offs by tea-time.

I find it entirely fitting for this league that they should insist we play on Monday in order to protect the competition's integrity by allowing Gateshead & Aldershot to play on Wednesday, then end up with neither side in the play-offs. They could, I suppose, have replaced Gateshead with Aldershot, who finished one place outside the play-offs.

It beggars belief. Beyond shambolic the way this has been dealt with

Personally, I’m not bothered about Sharp but the lad Brown, currently on loan at Gateshead from Derby, could be a useful under 21 loan player for next season.

Also, whether or not Freckleton returns I still think we need another CB for next season. I thought Miguel had a strange game today. When he advanced at speed down the left in the first half he looked good but not in the second, his distribution was poor at times too, whilst defensively he looked in two minds too often.

I definitely agree on the younger Mike Jones requirement though.

Also agree regarding King and Clements whilst left wondering if Hobson could be developed further into playing the lone striker role should he be required to.

I can't make my mind up on Freckleton. I think there's a good player in there, but I haven't decided if I want us to be the team that finds out whether that is true. He's young, he could develop as a decent centre half.

I was queuing for the toilet with them, lots of 118 marathon runners, and curly haired scousers with 'tashes and shell suits, it all made a great atmosphere :D

They certainly seemed like a decent bunch. Wish I hadn't seen the middle aged bloke dressed as Tinky Winky though. Fair put me off my first pint (don't worry, I rallied).
