Learn the rules you big fanny, he isn't part of the squad of 22 nor will he be.

Love how this winds people up! Definite nepotism but who cares!

Wonder if Man U fans moaned about Darren Ferguson getting the odd game whilst they were winning everything

Don’t get the love in with Maguire

Wish him well and all that but no idea why I’m reading social media posts about him being a Town legend and that we shouldn’t have let him go

Decent enough player but doesn’t have a position in a Cook team, very limited and only really effective on the left of a back three

He’s been at Town nearly 10 years and played around 170 games in that time, he’s never been a regular and never been more than a bit part utility player

If he wasn’t local people would have been moaning that we kept him on the payroll so long

Same here - I really like Kingy, and I'm sorry to see him go. He did get caught out occasionally playing RB against a tricky winger, but he was brilliant at times attacking down our right side and linking with Mandy. I think he is still capable of doing well at NL or even L2 level in a team shape that gives him fewer defensive responsibilities. I reckon he could be very effective as a right-sided attacking player in a team playing 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. I've got a sneaking feeling we might find him facing us in L2 next season.

King was great for us and hope he gets fixed up somewhere decent

I’ve read a few people say he’d be good further forward as a right sided attacking player, if that were the case then surely one of his previous managers or Cook would have tried it? Non league Trent Alexander Arnold for me, you overlook defensive weakness for what he gives you going forward from full back

I don’t for one minute support this idea in general, but just a thought after 120 minutes at Old Trafford in 1997 was our best chance of going through penalties or a replay?

I’d have more sympathy for premier league clubs and their fixture congestion if they all didn’t jet off to the far east or America before the season starts

Joke decision, yes may mean more minnows go through after a draw on penalties but robs clubs of the potential of big pay days
