Interesting, because I can't say I've ever seen the club referred to locally, at least, as "Spires." It might perhaps be a badge for a cycling club, or similar.

It is a football badge Stu Mine came from my Uncle bought at the club back in the 60'S mate

Possibly not an official one, then? I'd have expected it to be Chesterfield "FC" if so.

More likely to be from the old Chesterfield Spires rugby league club that disappeared in the 2008 when it merged with the North Derbyshire Chargers rlc
