Even until a week ago I had faith we could score at any time, and get a result against anybody.
This last few days has left me shaking my head, though.
We've got no choice but to stand by Cook, though saying that, that's exactly where I'm at!
I never saw us not scoring today at Walsall, but somehow we've managed it and still managed to concede, so I'm not sure what good it's done us and we'll meet teams far, far better than Walsall, so they'll really test any new more cautious formation out.
The bit I don't really like about the Johnson decision (as if leaving him out wasn't bad enough in the first place) is the fact that it could well have an impact on us loaning quality players in the future, as who is going to loan us quality players not to play? We did that well for the kid Villa could well have offered us another one, but with the treatment of him towards the end of the loan they may well think otherwise.

Exactly, even if Villa had indicated he wasn't coming back in January, it smacks of immaturity on PCs part

I'm with you; he gets far too excited and is all one level. He's got to learn how to raise the level when it's required as the game sounds relentless, then when he describes the game he says it's the worst display of the year and nothing like what we're used to. So which one is it???

Cannot disagree with anything you have posted in your last three posts, I am really getting concerned about his decision making of late.

DIdnt do much wrong at all I didnt think, the whole rest of the set up looked disrupted to accommodate him however.
I seem to remember him doing something along these lines before the other year, with Hird in front of the back 4, and we went through a patch when we looked dreadful then. I can fully understand him wanting to tighten things up a bit, but the bottom line is we still cant defend when we go more defensive, and it just completely nullifies our attacking threat. The frustrating thing about today being Walsall would have been completely there for the taking with our usual style of play.
