What on earth has he done to get that acclaim ahead of players like Morsy, Evatt, Lee, Darikwa, Doyle etc.

He is a very skilfull stricky winger a higher standard than the players above Did you notice how he was skinning their right back when Cookie brought him on

No, I didn't lol. Did he do that? Genuinely didn't notice.

azul, think it was tactical (weird sub to make IMO).

Think you need to watch the game more closely or lay off the beers, tendi beat his man once in the entire game and failed to put the ball in the box when required. Kearns beat his man and can cross the ball properly and looked dangerous when he came on, far better than Roberts and tendi and the majority of other players today

Cool. When he actually sets up or scores a goal I'll be interested, until then it's a big load of "yeah, he looks okay but there's still no end product".

Even if Tendayi didn't beat his man multiple times, he still had a sound game. He's most people's boo boy at the minute, even if he plays well he gets criticised. Par for the course.

You could have ronaldo, beckham and giggs playing and Marc Richards still wouldn't be able to put the ball away to be fair, even if they put it on a plate for him. So maybe tendi gets a bit of slack, but Kearns needs praising because he has the ability, don't think he should have been dropped to be honest

If he was going to take off Gardner (I think he should've given him another 20 mins) Kearns should've been on

As far as Smith, if he wasn't injured, Why?

Because the manager is limited in tactical ability and can't make decent substitutions.

Good fun, can find a player, says what the fans want to hear, plays nice passy passy stuff, but needs to work on the above massively if he is to improve as a manager

Roberts. The manager doesn't want to take him off, which leaves RH to put the ball in from wide left.
A new hope.

Hello matey, I hope you're well.

Is it the manager's limited ability or that of the players so the manager doesn't set us up with these tactics that the players can't (collectively) play?
The thing with criticising substitutions and tactics is it is easy for supporters to say "I would've done this and that...", and "I wouldn't have taken so and so off..." because their plan isn't played out and proven to be ineffective or wrong in front of them.

Cook has built a team/squad with some very good acquisitions that he/his staff have found. I'm not suggesting he's perfect and I'm not suggesting he doesn't make mistakes.

I'm sure I've read that Cook, like most managers, will be judged by the results: we're 2nd after 43 games and managed to reach a cup final that includes the division above. I really fail to see how Cook is as bad as some make out.

Whatever you believe, you cannot argue that he stands on a small and narrow precipice, with abject failure on one side and another brilliant and successful season on the other.

Not sure how anyone can say they can see how it will pan out.

Pretty decent assessment. I still think we'll finish top 3.

I wouldn't like the chances in the lottery that is the play offs. The good thing is whilst Scunny aren't losing they're drawing a lot. Rochdale are on poor form. Our form is indifferent. Fleetwood and Burton seem equally inconsistent. Promotion is still in our hands.
