Sorry to be pedantic but you can’t guarantee it’s our last ever game in the non league,

That's pretty good. ( can I have a couple of extra points in the prediction league for that praise?)

Decent turnout from the dormitory town, many in fancy dress.

No point risking either going into a dead rubber game. Imagine one of them properly redoes their injury and they end up in rehab all summer trying to get back for the start of the season

I'll answer my own question, 2010/11 C. Davies 23, The King J.Lester 17, D. Whittaker 15 & Best loan player ever (for goals) D. Smalley 12.

The goals changed it in our favour, of course, and we look comfortable now.
Freckleton and Jacobs have combined very well down the left and Dobra has often run at them successfully instead of just passing square and safe. Mandy looking good too, good half from Quigley. Oldaker is off the pace.

Of course, but I'd still like to have seen Colclough if only for a cameo.
I was only thinking very few players try to dribble past a man these days. Not just town but all over. Excellent player that he is Mandeville rarely dribbles past anyone, and King never tries to take anyone on. Coco is one of the few players who frequently takes men on and as often as not beats them. The only other one to do so is Dobra. I suppose it is fear of losing it that restrains players from trying to dribble past opponents.
You see the old footage of George Best or even older footage of Matthews and it seems like a different game. Then again teams are better organised and fitter these days and attackers don't seem to get the same amount of space as they once did.
