Enormous credit must go to Cook for this result, by the way. I looked at the team thinking surely there's been illness - no manager in their right mind would change 3 of the back 4. Ok, it turns out Freckleton was ill but putting Palmer and King back in worked perfectly plus the other changes. Such a good manager. I was a critic of Quigley but I'm one of the first on here to sing his praises when he does well. I note one or two of our manager's critics seem deathly silent when Cook is doing his job well. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this?

Just watching highlight again, it looked to me as though both Grigg and Cheek missed split second toe end chances in the 6 yard area. Both, presumably, distracted.

Also, Berry reminds me very much of Sam Clucas when he first arrived in that he has got a lot to learn in terms of teamwork but he's definitely got the basics to be a top player. His passing is excellent and he's got the best teacher.

My initial response on here was that it looked a bizarre team selection, but hopefully it would prove to be an inspired bit of tinkering, and it certainly was.

Tactical genius from PC, and great use of the squad meaning we should have some additional fresh legs for the trip to Boredom on Satdy..
