But now grown-ups criticise? 'You write fake news so you're banned'. Or in other words 'If you say I'm losing I'm taking my ball home'.
Kim Jong Un? 'My button's bigger than your button' Or perhaps 'My dad's bigger than your dad'.
Michael Wolff? 'Michael Wolff is a total loser who made up stories in order to sell this really boring and untruthful book. He used Sloppy Steve Bannon, who cried when he got fired and begged for his job. Now Sloppy Steve has been dumped like a dog by almost everyone. Too bad!'
Or essentially 'Nah, nah, nah-nah, nah'.
By the way, be interesting to see if he pursues his threatened legal action or realises a day in court, with folk who actually tell the truth doing so, is something even he can't re-write on 'Tw*tter'...

It is the most embarrassing and mind numbing nonsense I've ever witnessed. It's like the guy is stuck in some mid '80s dynasty-esq my co ck and balls are bigger than yours..a bullied kid who has somehow managed to become the ultimate bully, whilst hiding behind carefully considered bravado....ffs if I was an American, I'd be so embarrassed by that pr ick I'd want to emigrate to Mexico.

Who says so?
Well he does.
Y'know, there's a living to be made on the comedy circuit by someone simply reading out his tweets...

Personally I think Mark Hamill's response to Trump's tweet re Michael Wolff nailed it:
Congratulations, sir! This dignified, statesman-like tweet is the perfect way to counter the book's narrative that you're an impulsive, childish dimwit.

On taking on the role I expected nothing but ridiculous policies and more cartoon slogans than politics resulting in him being branded a joke and probably not make the full 4 year tenure.
Although I don't take an in depth interest in American politics, I have to admit that he has surprised me.
The media and the criticism hasn't surprised me; most if not all of the criticism has been a character assassination about how white his teeth are, how he misspelt a word in a tweet and all sorts of other nothing stories. The criticism from within politic and from the media has not been of a political nature, not much anyway. The reason for this is in fact that what he has done politically in his first year is actually quite impressive.
Considering the bullet points below, can anybody honestly say if anybody other than Trump had achieved this, they wouldn't be getting world wide praise and be hailed as a savior:
- Refuses to take a wage (Unheard of)
- Massive tax cuts (being British I thought tax could only go up)
- Created thousands of new jobs
- African American unemployment at lowest rate for 45 years and still going
- Hispanic unemployment dropped the nearly the lowest point ever
- Stopping and reducing Foreign aid to countries that don't need it such as Pakistan. Pumping the money back into the American economy
- Since election win 7 trillion dollars of value created on stock market
- Introduced temporary travel ban for people coming from 7 countries renowned for terrorism, whilst he looks into it.
- Pumping millions into public services
- Contained Isis far more than Obama did in a full 8 years
And then the stories from Mainstream media are about how he got the words wrong in the national anthem or his OCD... quite embarrassing really.
I honestly think if anybody else had achieved what he has in his first year and demonstrated a genuine effort to put the nations people first, they would be lavished with praise and adoration. If our government could claim to delivered the above points I know for a fact I would be voting Tory for the first time and I'm sure many others would.

- Refuses to take a wage (Unheard of) has up to yet provided no proof that hes donated his wages back to the state or charity
- Massive tax cuts (being British I thought tax could only go up).
- Created thousands of new jobs monthly job growth is less than in Obama's final year.
- African American unemployment at lowest rate for 45 years and still going. it is but its been falling steadily in all catagories since the 1st yr of Obama term. so its not really anything trump has done.
- Hispanic unemployment dropped the nearly the lowest point ever. see above
- Stopping and reducing Foreign aid to countries that don't need it such as Pakistan. Pumping the money back into the American economy. hasn't done it yet.
- Since election win 7 trillion dollars of value created on stock market. the markets have gone up, but they've gone up worldwide so you must question how much, if at all, its down to trump.
- Introduced temporary travel ban for people coming from 7 countries renowned for terrorism, whilst he looks into it. only took 12mths, is on its 3rd version & doesn't include saudia arabia (long acknowledged to be linked to terrorism but good friends with trump)
- Pumping millions into public services. trying for private money to finance it & struggling at the moment
- Contained Isis far more than Obama did in a full 8 years. along with a coalition of the good & bad
And then the stories from Mainstream media are about how he got the words wrong in the national anthem or his OCD... quite embarrassing really.

& lets ignore little things like Russian collusion, his failed health care bills, his childlike tweets, 'drain the swamp', lowest approval ratings of any president, the never ending fall outs between his staff.

It's all there for everyone to see and every achievement or fault of anyone is always debated but my point was although I expected an absolute car crash he's not been that bad. If all the media can find to throw at him is the size of his hands and his language in a tweet then he must be doing something right.
Importantly, what Trump haters seem to dismiss is that he and America are Britain's greatest ally and he sees us as great friends and partners, unlike his predecessor
The people more embarrassing than Trump are the ones having a tantrum about his state visit.

Not saying I agree with my brother for a second but it's the first time in years he has been convinced the world (as a political whole) is moving in the right direction.

I negged you. Usually, I would explain myself but you are an absolute moron like the bloke you claim to represent and no words would suffice.

Well, if I had to choose between the military and the corporations to safeguard our world (without family ties), then I’d choose...err...neither.

The vast majority of people I know wouldn't call someone an absolute moron for having a different opinion and expressing that opinion.
Doing so makes one look very intolerant and come across as a very unpleasant character

Yes, a bit strong after a few bevies perhaps but that bloke is playing a major part in shiイイing up the world my daughter is growing up in. Mr Smith and Calvin P have made my points for me. Of course it’s your absolute right to express your view. I just really don’t understand how you could think it correct. Please at least read up on how he’s maintaining his business interests in a conflict of interest with his pre-eminent position, something totally against tradition if not necessarily law, and financially benefitting himself and his family/associates big time (did you see how much he charged for his New Year party? And that’s the very least of it all.)

In your opinion. Many people in America think the opposite.
Just to be clear I'm not a representative of Trumps like you previously suggested and wouldn't be one bit surprised if all of the above is true. I think all politicians are in it for themselves, looking after themselves financially and don't really give a monkeys about the people they are supposed to serve. What I do like about Trump is that he definitely isn't a politician and doesn't give a ###### who he upsets.
My point was merely that he has had some success in his first year and even though that can be debated all night, he definitely hasn't been as shambolic as I and many others thought he would be.
My biggest gripe with Trump is the whole Saudi thing. The travel ban makes sense, support that fully but not including Saudi Arabia demonstrates he isn't as strong and courageous in the anti terrorism stance as he leads us to believe.... although still a lot stronger than our pathetic excuse of a government.

Paragraph 1 - think Trumpism has succeeded in dividing America in (almost) half on this one.
Paragraph 2 - agreed
Paragraph 3 - more shambolic than I’d feared IMO
Paragraph 4 - partially agreed - don’t agree with any veneer of travel ban being effective (especially against ineffectual so-called nationalist threats when their supposed target is pan-nationalist/guerilla for want of a better term). SA is for reasons unclear but so far welcome loosening restrictions against women etc. But they aren’t to be trusted yet imo.
