This is both bewildering and significant.

Bewildering, because we see Israel's most powerful ally reduced to bypassing them given their refusal to accept demands for aid access. Aid necessary as that supposedly civilised state is laying siege to nearly two million innocent civilians.

Significant, because they ARE bypassing Israel. Or to be precise, the Netanyahu regime. Make no mistake - this tells us loud and clear the US know he's finished. Popularity ratings at home lower than the tories and leading a pariah government internationally.

What are Egypt doing? Nobody seems to be discussing what a fellow Muslim country is doing.

Why are they adding to the huge defences against Gazza? They already had the far greater fences and walls than Israel; any idea why they've decided to take this stance?

When thousands of people, women and children, are celebrating the attacks, rapes, torture and killings of innocent Israelis, pulling at dead bodies being paraded through Gazza, ripping apart corpses and clamouring to get at hostages; I tend to wonder, at which point people lost sight of why Israeli forces entered Gazza. Hamas started a war; they're paying the price for that. Likewise, Germany in WW2. Or would you have opposed the allied bombing of Germany? I guess you would have.

If Hamas started a war and committed such heinous war crimes against my people, I'd want them destroyed.
