Probably not...footfall in the town centre these days is hardly massive although loads of free units to choose from. We'd need something at the ground for match days anyway and its probably easier for folk to go down to the ground on non matchdays, park up, go in and sort what they want compared to the mess about of having to go into town, park up probably having to pay for it etc. Not sure the additional number of folk that would pop in etc from it being in town would be worth it.
Also the aspect that the shop doubles up as a ticket office etc at times which would need replacing covering if the shop was to move. Even less chance of folk wanting to go to town just to sort a ticket etc.

We tried that when we were still at Saltergate, it failed spectacularly.

In all fairness, it was competing with the ambience and prestige of a trip to the portakabin. It was never going to win in that fight

Todays shopping trends tend to be online . In the main replica kits are the main seller and I'd guess we've shifted a few pre season so stock probably is low, why order more if we are coping with demand.

More interested in picking up Fylde and Oxford tickets. Didnt even see the new bucket hats. Disappointed and concerned to see the shelves were empty when the new season starts on Saturday.

Would be nice to be able to buy some of the smaller items like scarves, flags etc. once you are in the ground, rather than queue for the shop, then queue to get in. Maybe pop up kiosks in the concourse selling these and 50 50?
Oh, and the double sided scarves from the 80s with home colours one side, and away on the other. They were great

I've been waiting to buy a CFC rain jacket for 2seasons now (got the black one but want the blue one), they have a couple in stock and then that's it they go straight away, i fully understand you cant over order and be stuck with loads of stock
but surely the more popular sizes like Large etc, just order a few more and i'm sure they will sell!!
its crazy CFC are missing out big time here ££££, loads of friends and family keep asking for training tops and never have any in stock, but also they need to extend the club shop opening hours
to suit working people, ie late nights 10-5 monday to friday is no good to anyone working....

May well be different by Saturday.
I was directed to reception for my ticket to ease pressure on the shop staff as an expected large delivery was due. Maybe the reason the shelves were empty for, restocking purposes.
