Gateshead away off now they’ve made the semis of the Trophy.

What weekend that could have been celebrating our title but it’ll be a Tuesday probably the following week now.

Not the following week , Gateshead are playing on Tuesday the 9th already !!

And isn’t our PotY do in for the following Tuesday?

Edit: it’s he Monday 15th so the players and management won’t be hanging around for long if that Gateshead game is Tuesday 16th.

Shame but booked a night away with a ladyfriend this week expecting this. No chance of doing it on a school night. The lad already has an unspecified as yet appointment the afternoon of the Halifax game so we can still jump on the 2pm bus.

Tim you say lady boy lol ?

Looking at both ours and Gateshead's fixtures, that date is the only midweek date when we are both available.

Gatesheads progress in the trophy coupled with bad weather had meant i have missed loads of games this season. I would have been doing the chesterfield one away too on barrel inn supporters coach. Bummer! As it stands might only be at one more game before season ends at flyde away. Gateshead have also lost money as im sure Chesterfield and hartlepool (both mid-week) will bring far less away fans

Wonder when the new date for this one will be confirmed.

As people say, it appears that the 16th is the only date possible.

That is unless they make us play Wednesday the 3rd after having already played good friday and easter monday!

Congrats to Gateshead who made the final of the FA Trophy today beating Macclesfield 2-1, so at least our failed party weekend in Newcastle this weekend wasn’t cancelled in vain.

Tiny mention to Solihull who also made the final thanks to two goals from Ex-Spireite Alex Whitmore.

They should play the final of this at Staveley MW, and there would still be loads of room for anyone wanting to go.

Was at the heed game today. Pretty low quality match in almost comical wind conditions. Ball was more like a boomerang. Macclesfield offered almost nothing. Despite a close scoreline, the difference in league quality is clear

Hope Solihull get battered in the final and hope that excuse of a centre half Whitmore plays as bad as he did for us , awful player.

He wasn’t much worse than Nelson who partnered him but because he showed some passion he’s remembered fondly.
