Whilst I’m willing to believe our club is exceptionally thick, this is a bridge too far. In League 1, Gary Roberts was on 3.1k a week. We didn’t sign a 32 year old CM from Barnet on 5k a week in the conference.

You must be extremely gullible to believe that and I think you ought to name your source as folks will think you've made it up and no one on here wants to read unsubstantiated rumours presented as fact.

What you are saying is very similar to a rumour presented to Ashley Carson when he called into the Glassworks Pub after the Chorley game (link to thread below) where the allegation was it was Gerrard who was on over 2k per week.

I have no reason to disbelieve Ashley Carson, seeing players salaries would have had to be disclosed as part of the Due Diligence to the Community Trust, that the highest paid player is on less than £1,500 per week and that player isn't Weston.

Fergie could have pretty much any clause in his contracts he wanted I guess, I can’t imagine it’s a ‘thing’ outside the Premier League.
