Wasn’t really about pushing up. Shecks played a poor ball that got intercepted and they broke from there for first goal…..dunno what a manager can do about that?

I know - get King and Maguire back in for the next game ; I can’t believe they were left out in the first place.

We need to be more professional. Both fullbacks simply not good enough. Regardless of the win changes required. Nice to meet Ponte Pete.

If he's like this after two wins what will he say when we lose, as we will at some point.

I'm betting he can't wait for that to happen.

As Webb said after the game, at 4 up the full backs did not need to push up as high, that will come with experience.

Two wins and not yet quite firing on all cylinders, it will come.

I thought that was the role of the manager and coaches to sort out during the games not que sera sera. If this is what he said it just confirms what I think about this overweighted management team who have had lots of money thrown at them. Time to prove their salaries, after all the Halifax and Borehamwoods of this league don’t have the money nor the support to leave anything to chance. If he said that he’s gone down in my estimation. Earn your money gentlemen

I was only going about what has been said about what Webb said.

If the management didn't want the full backs to keep pushing up then they should get that message out to them during the game.

Listening on 1866 it seems their man ran quite a way with the ball before scoring. If Shecks gave the ball away didn't we have 2 defensive midfielders, 2 centre backs, another full back and a goalie around to cover?

Exactly, sorry I didn’t see your reply before I posted

A reply with a backed-up argument against what I said would be better I think rather than a random reply….

Let’s face it the management team have everything at their disposal at this level. There’s simply no excuse for such lame replies on their part.

And as for our robot manager, I take it all back, instead of making subs in the 70th minute it was the 69th. Progress !

Completely agree the slack two goals conceded took the shine off what would otherwise have been a superb performance. We can’t go through the season conceding 3 v Dorking and 2 v Fyldes of the league, who’ll both be well into the bottom half of the table.

following on from last season the call was to be more ruthless in both boxes, very very early days but it appears we have one end going in the right direction there whilst still lacking at the other. Liked Webb's interview today, he talked about teams not hitting their stride until september time yet keep winning whilst we sort things out, think back a few seasons and stockport where nowhere for the 1st third of that season, then they found their gear and blew the league apart. on that level, we've made a great start in the first 2 games results wise whilst still knowing we have things to improve upon.

I cant believe the amount of negativity and criticism on here!

Maybe if we had won 0-2 rather than 2-4 everybody would be happy but, then again people would be moaning that we only scored two!

Unbelievable Jeff!

We have got to make sure we defend those situations better. We scored some great goals but, from our point of view, conceded two disappointing goals as well. There are things to work on, definitely. Even going forward, at 4-1 up 4-2 up, we have got to keep the ball better, we have to punish teams a bit more, there are loads of things to look back on.

Exactly. The management have acknowledged the shortcomings, so why the need for endless posts of criticism from our ‘experts’ on here? ;)
