Dave. What will be will be. You, me and a few thousand others will be watching town long after all this has blown over. We will still have a team whether Roberts and co are in it or not. If they don't want to play for us then so be it. It's a new chapter in CFCs history , get your chin up and let's get behind the new regime.

aye up buddy , just give u quick line before physio , i know that ure right as are others , my blood bleeds blue and white ,after getting so close to what us older uns ever wanted , dave allen said a five year plan for championship , cook builds a team up then not only lies to us all about loyalty etc etc , then knows hes going there , then to make matters worse weakens us further by either truths or speculation , arguably our best player and playmaker ,yes were all spireites but i really really care about chesterfield so B****Y much , it hurts , you know how i struggle to get to grounds look at cov without ure help ,im getting older as we all are , weve been there done it over 45 years or more all we ever wanted was a crack at even one season in higher league , realistacally i dont think we ever will , cheers mate thanks for ure help

Exactly this! I think Warfey fully portrays why he felt the need to start the thread in his above post and he mirrors how a lot of us are feeling let down by our previous management. Dave Allen however is being criticised in some quarters for lack of investment but I for one am glad he is trying to get a grip of things. He could do with some new investment to allow us to kick on. Wish I could win the lottery.

I fully agree with Warfey.

Yes it's football and people move on and loyalty is very rare but Cook and his behaviour both personal and professional has been detestable.

If Turner had any knowledge at all he would have put a clause saying no to selling players for a period to Portsmouth.

Cook has done what poor managers often do- take players they know rather than use skill and management to build new teams.

I wish him every bad luck and if Roberts goes to league 2 then he has found his level- shows a lack o respect for his ability. Has been a superb player with us - has a lot of limitations however -he obviously knows this hence his potential dropping down a division.

Sod Cook- let's get behind Deano (we could do with a manager without a drink or otherwise problem)

It's not about Cook wanting to weaken CFC, if we wanted to keep him we would tweet "not for sale" rather than "we want £100k"

As of yet we have signed 0 Chesterfield players (1 member of backroom staff), unless Bennett and Naismith used to play for you? We are being linked to 1 Chesterfield player and about a dozen other players who to my knowledge have never played for chesterfield. Hardly surrounding himself with players be has managed at chesterfield.
